    CS Introduction

    Q: How long do I have to complete Computer Science GCSE? 

    A: You have two years in total. You have already completed the Entry Level qualification. You will spend the next two years working towards the full GCSE.

    Q: What exactly will I be doing this year? Will I have exams as well as coursework?
    A: You will cover two main units:

    Unit 1 - Practical Programming
    2 x Programming Tasks
    Controlled assessment (1 Python, 1 Scratch)
    60% of the marks (30% each)

    Unit 2 - Computing Fundamentals
    1 hour 30 minutes Exam (paper based)
    40% of the marks

    2. Save them all in your Storyboard folder in SITES> DA203SPB > Evidence > Storyboards

    Take photos of EACH of your completed hand drawn storyboards and save them in your folder SITES > DA203SPB > Evidence > Storyboards

    A: You have three years in total. 1 year to complete the Entry Level qualification and a further two years for the full GCSE.

    A: You will complete an Entry Level Certificate in Computing this year. Your year will be graded on the following:

    • Hardware test
    • Software test
    • Logic test
    • Python coursework
    (don't worry - I will prepare you for all of this throughout the year!)

    Q: What kind of topics will I be doing this year? 
    A: We will start with looking at the components of a computer and some basic programming. The year covers everything from RAM and ROM to Binary!
